So many wonderful things have happened of late! But I’ll tackle them one at a time and start at the only logical place…my birthday.

July 2 is definitely my favorite day of the year. This was my first birthday in South Africa so of course I wanted to make it an extra special one. Gabor happened to be off gallivanting around Europe on my big day, which only added to my motivation for making sure it was a great one. I kept saying that all I wanted for my birthday was friends. And guess what? I got them! I am thrilled to report that 18 fabulous people joined me for an Indian feast of epic proportions. This country passed my stringent birthday test, and for that I could not be happier.
