Singing is a fairly common part of daily life, and it’s something that I love. It is so pleasing to hear 100 voices singing together just before a clinic opens its doors for business, or to hear the groundsmen on the campus where I work singing at 9:00 in the morning. I happened to be in the room last week when a dozen grandmothers kicked off their weekly meeting with a song, I pulled out my phone and captured it. At the end their group leader explained a bit about why they meet and what they do. It was quite a cool moment to observe, it made me want to learn some of their songs.
